I would invite compassion and curiosity for yourself while offering different perspectives on what may contribute to challenges and stresses. Your cultural experiences and how you identify are integral to who you are, and exploring such experiences enriches the therapy process. Most importantly, I believe that developing a cooperative working relationship with you is essential for bringing about healing and lasting changes in your life.
I draw upon various methods that include relational and psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic and mindfulness-based skills, Buddhist principles and crisis management. I also value a social justice approach that considers how historical and institutional systems of oppression impact a person’s psyche and health and the communities that they identify with.
